An Ancient Root in the Waves of Tuscany
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the Mediterranean transformed into a canvas of delicate pastels lavender, peach, and soft blue blending seamlessly. It was in this fleeting moment, amidst the gentle embrace of dusk, that I captured The Knee of Time. In the shallows off the Tuscan coast, an ancient tree root stood defiant, half-submerged, weathered by the endless rhythm of the sea. Twisted and gnarled, it bore the scars of centuries, a silent witness to tides, storms, and whispers of history. The long exposure blurred the waves into a silky veil, wrapping the root in an ethereal mist, as if time itself bowed to its resilience.
This root, sculpted by nature’s hands, felt like a relic from another era – its curves reminiscent of a bent knee, kneeling before the vastness of the sea. In that quiet twilight, it was neither past nor present, but something timeless. A moment of stillness in the evermoving tide.
