Echoes of Emotion – David Gilmour, Wrocław 2016

Captured in an unforgettable moment of musical transcendence, this portrait of David Gilmour, taken during his performance at Freedom Square, Wrocław on June 25, 2016, is a memory, a feeling, a work of art.

In his hometown of Wrocław, Michał Mierzejewski stood camera in hand, swept into a deeply personal journey. The haunting calm of the empty city streets, the tension of political change in the air, and the breathtaking onset of the concert formed the backdrop for this intimate, emotionally charged image. Accompanied by the NFM Orchestra and legendary artists like Chuck Leavell and Leszek Możdżer, Gilmour’s performance transcended sound—it became soul.
